Types of Patrols

• Combat
  • Raid - Resupply
  • Ambush - Known Threat
  • Security - Patrolling in and around the Neighborhood
  • Contact - To gain contact with other neighborhoods, friendly groups, or maintain eyes on threats
• Recon
  • Zone - Gain info on all aspects of the defined zone - Multiple Blocks
  • Area - Gain specific info on the given area - Single Block 
  • Route - Gain info on the route and the adjacent regions of a particular route 

Preparation for Patrols - METT-TC and PCC/PCI

As you patrol, each member is making mental notes of surroundings. After the patrol, these findings are compiled and analyzed with an Area Study.
