Individual Objective
One member from Bravo (designated as Bravo 1) must establish a listening post 100 meters ahead of the ambush site, using night vision to give early warnings.
Exercise Details
Setup
- Alpha team sets up the ambush using natural cover, with roles for leadership, medical support (MARCH trained), and radio communication
- Bravo team moves forward
- Bravo 1 uses the file formation to move quietly to the listening post, reporting back positions and movements via radio
- Bravo 2 stays with Alpha but is responsible for immediate action drills if the ambush is compromised
Actions
- Simulate enemy patrol approach. Alpha waits for Bravo 1's signal over radio to engage
- Practice immediate action drills if the ambush is discovered prematurely, including a fallback plan
